Our Fabrics & Techniques

Rooted in heritage. Refined for today.

At BaageechaMul, every fabric carries a lineage of soil, skill, silence, and soul. What you drape isn’t just cloth; it’s centuries of craftsmanship pressed gently into folds of elegance. Our commitment to slow fashion and cultural preservation begins with our textiles and deepens through our methods.

🌿 The Fabrics We Cherish

We work only with natural, breathable, and ethically sourced fabrics, often handspun and finished by skilled artisans across India. Each textile is selected for its comfort, resilience, and the story it quietly tells.

1. Mulmul (Muslin)

A whisper against the skin.
Soft, airy, and gossamer-light, Mulmul—once cherished by royals—is our signature fabric. Woven from the finest cotton yarns, it feels like a second skin, making it perfect for tropical climates and effortless everyday elegance.

2. Cotton Linen

Where structure meets softness.
A beautiful fusion of durability and grace, Cotton Linen brings the cool breathability of cotton and the textured sophistication of linen. Naturally absorbent and eco-conscious, this fabric drapes like a dream and ages beautifully with wear.

🖐️ The Art of Hand Block Printing

A dialogue between hand, wood, and cloth.

Our block printing is deeply inspired by traditional Rajasthani art and motifs, honoring centuries-old techniques passed through generations. Each wooden block is hand-carved with care, then dipped in natural, chemical-free (azo-free) dyes, and pressed onto fabric in layers.

This process requires patience, intuition, and immense craftsmanship—resulting in subtle variations that make every piece uniquely yours. No mass printing. No shortcuts. Just timeless, soulful fabric created with love.

🌱 Conscious Color & Ayurvedic Wellness

We are proud to use natural and non-toxic dyes including plant-based and azo-free pigments that are safe for the skin, gentle on the environment, and rich in character.

Many of our collections also integrate ayurvedic dyeing traditions where ingredients like neem, turmeric, tulsi, and indigo are used not just for color, but for their healing properties. These herbs infuse the fabric with anti-bacterial, anti-inflammatory, and cooling qualities, promoting wellness through what you wear.

In Ayurveda, what touches your skin is as vital as what you consume and BaageechaMul honors that wisdom in every thread.

❤️ Why It Matters

In an age of fast fashion, we return to slow hands.
Choosing our fabrics means:

* Supporting artisan families and traditional craft clusters
* Reducing water and chemical waste
* Wearing something that promotes mindful living and wellness
* Reviving heritage techniques with a purpose
